moved from "Category talk:Japanese filmmakers" which was later deleted as an empty category
Following the categorization scheme from Directors->Film Directors(redundant?)->Film directors by nationality, I found there was no category for Japanese film directors, so I made one. Now I find this page, and I'm not sure how the two should be reconciled. First, this is kind of off on it's own and only connected through Japanese people, and not Cinema, Directors, etc. Secondly I don't think I'd categorize special effects men, no matter how cinematicaly/historically important as filmmakers per se. I think when most people think filmmaker they think someone who has vast control over the making a movie, acting as director, writer, maybe even producer, etc. Thirdly, ahh, this categorization scheme is stressing me out. Categories all over the place, nothing makes any sense and I need some air. :) --AsianAstronaut 04:54, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)
